About JEE Advanced 2019 Engineering Entrance Exam

JEE Advanced 2019 is a national-level entrance exam for providing admissions in Engineering or Architecture programs in the top institutes of India such as IITs, NITs, IIITs, CFTIs etc. It is conducted by the seven zonal IITs under the guidance of Joint Admission Board (JAB) for admission into Bachelor’s, Integrated Masters and Dual Degree programs for all the IITs. Top 2,24,000 candidates (including reserved categories) of JEE Main exam are eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced 2019.

JEE Advanced 2019 Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Limit – General category candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1994. Relaxation of 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category.
  • Qualifying Examination – Should have passed 10+2th standard qualifying (or equivalent) examination in 2018. Those who are appearing for the exam in 2019 will also be eligible for JEE Advanced.
  • JEE Main – The candidates should have qualified JEE Main examination. The cutoff for admissions into IITs should also be met by the candidates
  • Number of Attempts – For JEE Advanced, the candidates will be able to attempt the examination two times in two consecutive years.
  • IIT Admissions – The candidates should have never taken admission in an IIT irrespective of whether they continued the programme or not or just accepted the seat by reporting at the centre. The candidates who have earlier joined any IIT but had subsequently cancelled their admission will also not be termed eligible for JEE Advanced.

The JEE Advanced 2019 will be conducted under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) 2019. The examination pattern of the JEE Advanced 2019 is described in the points below:

JEE Advanced Application Form 2019

Candidates can fill JEE Advanced application Form from May 2019 in online mode only. Candidates can avail the form on the official website of JEE Advanced. Check below all important steps to complete registration process:

    • Log in with JEE Main 2019 Roll Number and Date of Birth
    • Choose a new password to complete Registration
    • Fill the personal and academic details.
    • Mention the number of attempts, exam center, language of exam, category and the requirement of scribe.
  • Step 2: Upload Documents
  • Step 3: Pay Application Fee
  • Payment of fees can be made either by Debit/Credit/Internet Banking or by Cash using SBI branch option.

JEE Advanced Admit Card 2019

The admit cards for JEE Advanced 2019 will release in the second week of May 2019. These can be downloaded from the official website www.jeeadv.nic.in.
In order to download JEE Advanced 2019 Admit Card, one must follow these steps:

  • Visit the official website of JEE Advanced i.e. jeeadv.ac.in
  • Click on the link for ‘JEE Advanced 2019 Admit Card’
  • Enter your registered application number and password
  • Check details on admit card
  • Print it for further use
  • Candidates need to carry admit card to the examination center along with photo ID proof. Without admit card, they will not be allowed to write the examination.

JEE Advanced Result 2019

IIT Roorkee will be declaring the result of JEE Advanced 2019 tentatively in the second week of June. Candidates will be able to access the result in online mode. Individual subject scores, as well as total marks secured in the examination, will be available in the result. The All India Rank (AIR) secured by the candidates will also be present in the result.

Steps to Download JEE Advanced Result 2019

  • The candidates will have to enter their JEE Advanced registration number, date of birth, mobile number and email address.
  • Click on Submit
  • The result will be displayed on the screen. Candidates will have to print out the result for further use.

JEE Advanced Cutoff 2019

  • The minimum rank which the candidates have to secure for admissions into participating institutes constitutes the cutoff of JEE Advanced 2019.
  • The cutoff ranks will be determined and released during the counselling process.
  • Qualifying marks for the examination will also be released by the authorities.
  • All of the candidates who meet the qualifying cutoff marks will be listed out in the rank list and marked eligible for the counselling and seat allotment process.
  • JEE Advanced cutoff 2019 will act as a screening process for admissions.
