About KCET 2025 Engineering Entrance Exam
KCET 2025 Karnataka Common Entrance Test will be conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for admission of candidates to various Engineering, B. Pharm and Farm Science courses in Government/University/Private Aided/Private un-aided institutions in Karnataka State. Candidates who have passed or appearing for the qualifying examination i.e. 2nd PUC/12th standard are eligible to appear for KCET 2025. The application of KCET 2025 will be available online and candidates have to pay the prescribed fees with the specified dates. The exam will be held on two days in four different sessions for four subjects – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The questions of KCET 2025 will be based on I and II PUC syllabus prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education State. Based on the marks obtained in the KCET 2025 and qualifying examination, the merit list will be prepared as per the category-wise vacancies.

KCET Eligibility Criteria 2025
KCET eligibility criteria vary course-wise. The basic eligibility for admission to various courses is mentioned below.
- Candidates have to qualify the 2nd PUC/10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board.
Subject: Candidates must pass their examination with Mathematics & Physics as a main subject & English as a language subject. - It is compulsory to score at least 45% marks (40% marks in SC/ST category) in physics and mathematics along with one of the subjects, i.e. Biotechnology/Biology/Electronics/Chemistry/Computer science.
- The minimum marks required in Class XII to apply for B. Tech through KCET is 45% for general category while it is 40% for reserved category.
- Must have compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Electronics/Computer Science as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study.

KCET Exam Pattern 2025
- Mode of Exam:The exam is held in offline mode (pen & paper based).
- Types of Question: Question paper are of Multiple Choice in nature.
- Number of Questions: Total 60 question are asked from each section.
- Time Duration: Each section is given 80 minutes.
- Marking Scheme: One mark is awarded for each correct answer.
- Negative Marking: There is no provision for negative marking. No marks are deducted/awarded for marking multiple options.

KCET 2025 Exam Syllabus
KCET Question Paper is based on the First and Second PUC syllabi (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology) prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State. Pre University College in Karnataka is equivalent to 10+2 or H.S.C. as prevalent in most of the education boards in India.

KCET Application Form 2025
- The online application form for KCET 2025 was available between February 1- March 8. More than 1.7 lakh candidates are expected to have registered for KCET 2025.
- Candidates registered by visiting the official website of KCET i.e. kea.kar.nic.in.
- There, they had to enter their personal details, so as to generate an Application Number and Password.
- After that, they had to upload a scanned copy of recent passport size Colour Photograph, Signature and Left Hand Thumb Impression in JPG/JPEG format separately.
- The next step was to pay the application fee either by challan or net banking.
- The last step was to take a printout of KCET Application Form.

KCET 2025 Admit Card
- KEA will issue the KCET admit card in online mode for various courses.
- To appear in the Common Entrance Test candidates have to download the admit of KCET 2025 within prescribed dates.
- To download the admit card of KCET 2025 candidates have to enter application number and date of birth as per SSLC/Class 10th marksheet in the login window.
- Details like name, photograph and signature of the candidate, roll and application number, name and address of exam centre, date and time of the test.
- It is mandatory to carry an identity proof, ball pen along with the admit card. Candidates must preserve the KCET 2025 admit card till the admission process is completed in the allotted college or institute.
KCET Result 2025
- The result for KCET B.Tech, B-Farm and Agriculture will be declared by KEA in online mode.
- Candidates have to enter their registration number to check their results.
- To know the spot ranks, candidates have to enter their Common Entrance Test (CET) number.
- The result of KCET 2025 carries information like subject wise scores, total marks secured by candidates and ranks obtained.
- The result of KCET 2025 for B.Tech courses will be available in the month of June.
- The result of KCET 2025 B.Tech in online mode only.
- For admission to B.Tech courses, the authority will prepare a merit list on the basis of the marks obtained in KCET 2025 and the qualifying exam.
KCET Cutoff 2025
- KEA will release the KCET cutoff 2025 for different programmes and categories after the declaration of the result.
- KCET cutoff is the announced in the form of closing rank at a particular institute or college as per the preference of the courses and category of the candidates.
- The cutoff will be determined on the basis of various factors such as total number of candidates appeared in the exam, difficulty level of the exam, performance of candidates in the entrance test, availability of seats in KCET participating institutes or colleges.
