About GPAT 2024 Medical Entrance Exam
For the admission to M.Pharm programmes offered by various institutes/colleges, Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is the gateway for it. From 2024, National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting GPAT in computer-based mode. Earlier, the national level entrance exam, GPAT was conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). GPAT is conducted in a single session for the duration of 3 hours. The scores obtained in GPAT will be accepted by all AICTE approved Universities/Institutions etc. Various scholarships and other financial assistance are given by AICTE for GPAT qualified candidates. GPAT 2024 scores will be accepted by around 800 participating institutes.

Eligibility Criteria for GPAT
- To appear for GPAT 2024, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities:
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of India
- Qualifying Examination: Must hold Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after class 12).
- Lateral entry candidates can also apply. Apart from this, candidates who are in the final year of B. Pharmacy course are also eligible.
- Who are not eligible: B.Tech (Pharmaceutical and fine chemical technology)/ Equivalent Students are not eligible.
- Age Limit: There is no age limit for appearing in GPAT

GPAT 2024 Exam Pattern
- Exam Pattern of GPAT 2024 has been officially mentioned in the information brochure released by NTA on November 1. Candidates appearing for the exam are advised to know the GPAT exam pattern to get an understanding of the type of questions to expect, duration of exam etc.
- GPAT 2024 Exam Pattern can be checked as follows
- Mode of examination- Computer-based online test
- Language: English
- Duration of examination- 3 hours
- Type of questions- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Total number of questions- 125
- Marking Scheme- +4 for every correct answer, while -1 for every incorrect response
